Installation Instructions
01. Preparation:
Ensure the surface and turf backing are clean and oil-free.
02. Application:
Apply adhesive evenly using the recommended trowel.
03. Laying Turf:
Press the turf firmly into the adhesive (adjust position as needed).
04. Seam Rubbing
Rub the seam immediately with a gloved hand, carpet tractor, or weighted roller (repeat after 45 minutes).
05. Curing Time:
Achieves high bond strength in 2-4 hours, fully curing in 24 hours.
Usage Guidelines
Low Stitch Height
Smooth Backed, Foam Backed, Putting Green Interior Seams
Trowel: SL 2000 Glue Box #1 or 1/16″ Square Notch.
Spread Rate: 320 linear feet per 5 Gal. pail.
Medium Stitch Height
Landscape Turf, General Purpose
Trowel: SL 2000 Glue Box #2 or 1/8″ V-Notch
Spread Rate: 220 linear feet per 5 Gal. pail.
High Stitch Height
Athletic Fields, High-Traffic Areas
Trowel: SL 2000 Glue Box #2 or 1/8″ V-Notch.
Spread Rate: 180 linear feet per 5 Gal. pail.
Additional Information
Storage and Shelf Life
Storage: Store indoors between 60°F and 90°F in the original unopened container.
Shelf Life: 9 months from the manufacturing date.
Preservation: Seal the pail with plastic film to maximize remaining life.
Caution: Moisture contamination renders TurfLock™ unusable; high humidity storage reduces shelf life.
Cleanup Instructions
Remove any residual adhesive from the surface of the turf and from tools with mineral spirits while it is fresh and wet. TurfLock™ is difficult to remove once cured.
