Here’s How To Keep Your
Artificial Turf Looking Its Best
We’ve put together this comprehensive care guide to help you maintain the beauty and longevity of your artificial grass landscape. Following these simple steps will not only keep your turf looking lush and vibrant but also ensure that your warranty remains valid. So, let’s dive in and discover how easy it is to keep your artificial turf in top condition!
Care & Maintenance
Keep it Clean
Whether it’s dust, pollen, or other airborne pollutants, keeping your turf clean is essential for its durability and appearance. Regular rinses and gentle cleaning will help prevent buildup and maintain its fresh look.

Rinse
Dust, Pollen, Other Airborne Pollutants: Let rain do the cleaning whenever possible. If you’re in a dry area, give your turf a good rinse every now and then.

Mop
For light dirt: Mix a teaspoon of mild detergent with a pint of hot water. Sponge mop the area and rinse thoroughly.

Spray Solution
For tougher stains: Like spills or pet messes, try using a solution of 3% ammonia in water followed by a thorough rinse.
Care & Maintenance
Periodic Brushing
Artificial turf benefits from regular brushing to restore its appearance and prevent matting. Periodic brushing will help keep your turf looking lush and inviting.
Brush against the grain of the turf fibers. This means brushing in the opposite direction of how the grass lies.
Use a brush with synthetic bristles: Avoid damaging the fibers.
Grooming frequency: Weekly for high-traffic areas, monthly for low-traffic

Synthetic Brush
Only use a brush with synthetic or fibers or bristles.

Seasonal Maintenance

Cold Climates
In colder climates, use a plastic snow shovel or brush with soft bristles to remove snow without damaging the turf.

Hot Climates
In hot weather, spraying the grass with cool water can help lower its temperature, making it more comfortable for both people and pets.

Weed Control
Regularly inspect the edges and seams for any signs of weeds and remove them promptly, either by hand or with a spot application of herbicide safe for artificial turf.
Care & Maintenance
Infill Maintenance

Prepare
Periodically check the infill level throughout the turf. Use a stiff brush to feel for areas that may be low and require topping up.

Pour
Add more infill material, following the manufacturer’s recommendations for quantity and type, to maintain proper depth throughout the lawn.

Brush in Infill
Groom the infill with a rake, turf rake, or brush to prevent compaction and ensure even distribution.
Care & Maintenance
Avoid Abuse
While artificial turf is durable, it’s essential to take precautions to prevent damage. From avoiding sharp objects to protecting against heat and heavy loads, simple steps can go a long way in preserving the integrity of your turf.

Sparks and Fire
Keep fireworks, cigarettes, and hot objects away from the turf.

Sprinklers
Cover or remove nearby sprinkler heads to avoid mineral deposits on the turf.

Reflections
Beware of reflected sunlight from windows, lights, metal, glass, or any reflective surfaces, as it can melt turf fibers.

Heavy Objects
Beware of heavy objects and equipment.

Vehicles
Don’t let vehicles idle on the turf to prevent heat damage.

Avoid Metal Rakes
Do not use metal rakes or a brush with metal bristles.

Harsh Chemicals
Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners on artificial grass, as they can damage the fibers.

Sharp Objects
Keep sharp objects away from the artificial grass to prevent tears or punctures.
Care & Maintenance
Preventing Compaction

Move
Move furniture periodically and redistribute infill to prevent compaction. Rotating heavy items like outdoor furniture can help prevent permanent indentations.
